Telephone apparatus combined with personal computer

The appts. uses a personal computer associated through a line with a keyboard. Between the keyboard and the computer there is an electronic unit (ZE) connected with the telephone apparatus (TE) and the telecommunications connection unit (TAE). The unit has two modes of operation controlled by the keyboard. In the first mode commands from the keyboard are passed unchanged to the personal computer. All commands or data from the PC are passed unchanged to the keyboard. In the second mode the keyboard commands are stored in the electronic unit and then sent to the telephone apparatus. The unit contains a microcontroller (MC) to receive, process, store (DS) and send data under program control (PS). It receives data via the line from the keyboard, from the PC, via the communications connection and sends data in the other direction.
