<p>Low-tension glaucoma is treated by topical administration to the eye of an amount of a calcium channel blocking agent effective to increase blood flow to the optic nerve head. Calcium channel blocking agents of Class I are especially useful, and among these a preferred agent is verapamil hydrochloride.</p> |
