A stent has a material for generating an expansion retaining force at a lumen of interest of a human being and comprises a stent constituent element (2) with sections defining a space (4) therebetween and a film constituent element (3) attached to the stent constituent element (2) with the space covered and closed therewith. The film constituent element (3) is formed by dipping into a solution containing a material for the film constituent element (3). The thickness of the film constituent element (3) at those areas spread therewith but not at an area around each section of the stent constituent element (2) is equal to, or smaller than, the diameter of the sections of the stent constituent element (2). $$
