MULTILAYER GLASS AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To realize rationalization of production of multilayer glass and remarkable cost reduction. CONSTITUTION:This is a multilayer glass composed of plural glass plates 1 and 1 put parallel in layers, sandwiching an air layer between the glass plates 1 and 1 and unified through joint members 3 into one body. The joint member 3 is composed of an elastic material having temperature-sensitive addition reaction type adhesive layers 4 on both the sides so that they may be made to adhere to the periphery along the surrounds of the glass plates. The temperature-sensitive addition reaction type adhesive layers 4 and the glass plates 1 are unified into one body by a reaction-type curing treatment. Reduction of the man-hour for incorporation and shortening of the terms of works such as curing period are realized thereby and it enables rationalization of production of multilayer glass and remarkable cost reduction. This multilayer glass is excellent in handleability and makes the assembling work easy. Joint strength and flame-resistant properties can be remarkably improved.
