PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition for sliding members excellent in friction and wear characteristics and durability under dried conditions or many different use conditions, e.g. in oil or lubricating conditions and a sliding member using the composition. CONSTITUTION:This resin composition for sliding members contains 1-25wt.% of a component A selected from a group comprising a phosphoric acid salt and barium sulfate, 1-15wt.% of a component B selected from a group comprising magnesium silicate and mica and a component C selected from a group comprising lead, tin, lead-tin alloy and their mixture and the residual part of polytetrafluoroethylene. This sliding member is obtained by impregnating and coating the pore clearance and surface of porous metal sintered layer formed on steel with the resin or packing and coating the mesh or the surface of metal network body with the resin composition. |
