PURPOSE:To control a reciprocating area freely by providing a reverse signal toward a drive part at a time when a reciprocating area setting value and a calculating value agree and setting this moving area setting value based on a designated reciprocating area according to the length of an object to be polished. CONSTITUTION:A table 2 is reciprocated in a designated moving area when a blade 10 fixed on the table 2 is polished by rough grinding stone 11K or a finishing grinding stone 12K. In this case, controlling of width of the moving area is performed by taking a position contacted with a first and a second detecting switch 8a, 8b as reference and a timer value X is substrated from the time when this position is detected and the table 2 is reversely moved when this timer value X becomes zero. The first detecting switch 8a detects a reference position of a blade 10 with respect to the rough grinding stone 11K and the second detecting switch 8 detects the reference position with respect to the finishing grinding stone 12K whereby the table 2 can be reciprocated in a minimum required area to respective grinding stones. |
