PURPOSE: To effectively perform washing with the minimum amount of water and energy to be used by providing a perforated washing basket freely rotatable around a vertical axis inside an imperforate washing tub and disposing a bottom plate freely capable of wobbling motion inside the lower part of the washing basket. CONSTITUTION: For this automatic washing machine 20, a spin rotation washing basket 36 provided with many small holes is disposed inside an imperforate stationary liquid housing tub 34 and the basket 36 is rotated to the stationary tub 34 through a transmitter 102 by the operation of a motor 100. At the lower part inside the basket 36, a bottom plate assembly 80 provided with an annular bowl member 82 and a raised center dome part member 84 is arranged so as to make the center axis 89 form an angle to the center axis of the basket 36 and the tub 34. Then, by driving the motor 100 in the state of holding the basket 36 in a stationary state by a brake mechanism, the basket 36 is made to perform the wobbling (wavy) motion through the transmitter 102. |
