PURPOSE:To improve joining strength by welding end parts together in a short time and apply easily even to a round belt or a flat belt, by a method wherein paste containing a metallic powdery body is applied to end parts of a belt, both end parts of the belt abut against each other, the metallic powdery body is heated by high-frequency induction heating and both the end parts of the belt are welded together. CONSTITUTION:Paste 14 is applied to end parts 3a, 3b of a belt material cut into a fixed length and both the end parts are made to abut against each other. When a high-frequency current is applied to a heating coil 6 set up to the abutting part 5, an overcurrent is induced to the metallic powdery body contained in the paste 14 and induction heating is performed. The whole sphere of both the end parts 3a, 3b of the belt are melted almost evenly by the induction heating, both the end parts are welded and joined together and an endless belt is manufactured. Then in the case where the belt is a round belt, the induction heating is performed under a state wherein both cut end faces, which are in almost a round shape, are made to abut against each other. Furthermore, in the case where the belt is a flat belt, the induction heating can be performed also by making one face of the other cut part side to abut against one face of one side cut part side. |
