PURPOSE:To provide an air bag device for a front passenger seat capable of securing the impact absorption, and reducing the resistance when the bag is inflated. CONSTITUTION:In an air bag device for a front passenger seat where a metallic container 11 of box shape with a square opening part 11a is provided, an inflator is stored on the bottom side inside the container 11, and a folded bag is stored on the upper side of the inflator, a slit 14c along the side line of the container 11 is formed in a corner part 14a on the occupant side, and an adjusting part 14b is provided on the part except the corner part 14a. |
