ADSORBENT OF NITROGEN OXIDE AND REMOVAL OF NITROGEN OXIDE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To efficiently remove nitrogen oxide (NOx; nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen dioxide), especially, nitrogen dioxide contained in exhaust gas in low concn. CONSTITUTION:An adsorbent of nitrogen oxide is characterized by containing zirconia and ruthenium. At least one kind of oxide of a metal selected from a group consisting of manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, lead and cerium can be also added to the adsorbent. The specific surface area of the adsorbent is pref. 10m<2>/g or more and the vol. of the pores with a pore size of 0.2-5mum thereof is 0.02cc/g or more.
