PURPOSE: To achieve the wt. reduction of a blow mold and to improve the speedup of molding operation. CONSTITUTION: A blow mold assembly has first and second carriages 16, 18 and a power means 20 moving one of these carriages between an open position and a closed position and, when the first and second mold halves 56, 58 connected to both carriages are present at the closed position, at least one mold cavity is formed. Locking means 34 are arranged to the opposed surfaces of the first and second carriages to mutually lock the carriages when the carriages are present at the closed position. Two mold halves are continuously combined during molding and a sufficient amt. of a fluid capable of overcoming an energizing means to resist against all of the pressures applied to the first mold half is introduced into a chamber under sufficient pressure. |
