PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to increase the ultraviolet rays curing lamps by aqueous resin applied on an object to evaporate the aqueous volatile components before irradiating the resin with ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION:An ultraviolet rays radiating device 1 is connected to an infrared radiating device 2 placed in front, by a duct 7 which conducts air driven by a blower 8. An irradiation object 10 on a conveyor 9 is first subjected to infrared radiation from the infrared radiating device 2 and heat air blown therefrom, so that moisture contained in the ultraviolet rays curing aqueous resin applied on the irradiation object 10 evaporates. Then, the ultraviolet radiating device 1 irradiates the object 10 with ultraviolet rays. Since an ultraviolet lamp 3 becomes hot, air is drawn into the device 1, driven by the blower 8, to cool the lamp 3. The heated air is conducted to the device 2 to cool reflecting mirrors 6. The heated air is blown out from the device 2. Because the apparatus improves the property of the coating of the object 10 and increases the curing rate, the apparatus eliminates the need to increase the ultraviolet lamp 3 in number and reduces the cost for heating. |
