PURPOSE: To provide a method to correlate different coordinate systems without using additional relating markers in computer supported steretactic surgery. CONSTITUTION: Partial localized anatomical information is collected by a surgical microscope attached to a carrier system and a suitable correlation algorithm is used to spatially correlate the partial, localized anatomical information with diagnostic data generated before the surgery. |
