PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of purifying performance of a catalyst caused by contact with seawater by preventing entering of seawater into an expansion chamber due to water leakage from an exhaust guide. CONSTITUTION:In an outboard motor where an expansion chamber 20 formed like a bag for storing a catalyst is fitted to the lower surface of an exhaust guide 11 located between a top cowl 6 and an upper case 7, cooling water jackets 11e, 11m provided on the exhaust guide 11 are formed as a hollow closed space having an inflow hole and an outflow hole for cooling water. |
