<p>PURPOSE:To provide a preserving container made of an earthernware material for improving convection of air to the earthernware container, for venting gas produced from a preserved product, and preventing the product from getting sticky or rotten. CONSTITUTION:With water repellent applied on a specific position on an outer face of a porous body, glaze 2 is applied to the porous body, whereby portions with the water repellent repels the glaze 2.
