The device is attached to a three-way valve (1) which is provided with a handle (6) mounted on a rotating axle (7). The device includes a sensor (8) mounted on the valve body and a magnet (9) attached to the handle. The sensor is connected to an electrical cable (10) with four conductors and includes a resin ring (11) protected by a non- magnetic sleeve (12). The ring houses three magnetically controlled switches (13-15) connected to the electrical cable. When the handle is rotated the magnet attached to it triggers one of the three switches which controls the supply of a small bulb indicating the valve position.
