The magnetic trigger device includes the flat magnet (29) which has a slotted profile (38) to house a load conductor and the magnetic core which is part of a current transformer in the circuit breaker. The armature (28), which is separated from the magnet by a preset air-gap, has a pair of vertical feet (35,36) for insertion in corresponding slots in the lever (27). The lever lies at right angles to the armature. It is rectangular in shape with an elongated slot and a vertical foot (32) extending perpendicularly from it. The foot ends in an elbow (32A) which engages with prongs (30A,30B) on a loop (26) that operates the contract breaker terminals. When the armature is pulled down, the lever is pushed to the rest position by a spring (39).
