The bending device comprises a bending plate, a coating bending shoe, a clamping tool (21) for profiled bar end section, away from the plate, and a bending slide carriage (11) swivelable on a main slide carriage (14) and movable by a cam control w.r.t. the bending plate. Between the bending slide carriage and the clamping tool is incorporated a program-controlled superimposed drive (17). The bending slide carriage permits a fine adjustment effective in both positive and negative direction w.r.t. the main slide carriage.
