Stereophonic sound reproduction device

The device has at least one loudspeaker (2, 3) for each stereo channel, coupled to a stereo signal source (7) via a respective power amplifier (4, 5). The loudspeakers are positioned at opposite ends of an acoustic resonance body (1), with the sounding radiating surfaces acting as an acoustic dipole. The power amplifier output signal for one loudspeaker (3) is fed to the opposite terminal than the power amplifier output fed to the other loudspeaker (2), with a frequency-selective phase shifter (6) connected in series with the power amplifier of the first loudspeaker, so the signal inversion is lifted for frequencies below a given threshold frequency. Pref. the length (L) of the resonance body is used to calculate the threshold frequency.
