Tinnitus relief by masking with natural time-varying sound patterns

The equipment (1) worn or carried by the patient contains an electronic memory chip (2) in which one or more masking signals are stored in digital form via an interface (3). During an attack of tinnitus the stored signals are read out to a digital-to-analogue converter (4) feeding a transmitter (5) of e.g. electromagnetic waves (6) to a receiver integrated into a hearing-aid moulding (7). The equipment contains also a battery (8) supplying all of its circuits for mobile utilisation independent of the mains.
