<p>The present invention relates to a page turning facility in a device for storing and displaying pages of electronic information and has particular relevance to small-screen pen-based devices. The embodiment described has a symbol (18) in the form of an open book (24) with a double-headed arrow (26) above the book for the user to employ for page turning. The book has page delimiters (36) and when these are traversed by a pen input device, the display moves a predetermined number of pages. The user can stroke the symbol repeatedly to riffle through pages with the rate of page turning being under user control. The symbol is positioned off-screen so as to save screen space.</p> |
