The phase of AC power is controlled by the phase controller. The phase controller includes TRIACs(20-24) for switching input AC power to supply power to a load, a variable charger/discharger(26) connected to the TRIACs in series to charge and discharge AC power, a trigger(32) for generating trigger pulse according to the voltage level of the charger/discharger(26) and for triggering the TRIACs, and a phase controller(28) for controlling the phase of input power by adjusting time constant of the charger/discharger(26) according to the phase of input power. |
