The visor comprises a body with a spring-loaded spindle (16) and a support pin (28). The body consists of a cushion plate (1) made of plastics foam, to one side of which an injection-moulded plastics support plate (2) is permanently fixed, this being of smaller circumference than the cushion plate. The support plate has a bearing (24) for the spindle, a mounting for the spring, the support pin (28) and a recess (29) for a mirror or ticket clip. A recess can be provided in the cushion plate, of dimensions and depth to enable it to accommodate the support plate.
