The roof is made from an upper membrane sheet (5) and a lower membrane sheet (6) running parallel to each other to create a hollow space (7). The lower membrane sheet is provided with heat insulation in the form of an insulation mat (11) constructed from fine glass fibre. The insulation mat is placed against the lower membrane sheet and secured to it by a fabric strip fastening. The roof is light permeable and the insulation mat, preferably made from white fibres, has a translucency of between 40 and 70 percent.
