Fullerene-azirine derivs. of formula (I) and fullerene-oxazole and thiazole derivs. of formula (IV) are new: F = a fullerene radical of formula C20+2m (m = 2-100); X = C(O), SO2, S(O), P(O)R, P(S)R or PR; R = 1-20 C alkyl, 6-14 C aryl-(1-10 C) alkyl or 6-14 C aryl, in which the alkyl gps. may have 1 or more non-adjacent CH2 gps. replaced by -C=C-, -CH=CH-, -O-, -S-, -COO-, -SiR2- and/or -C(O)-, the alkyl and aryl gps. may have 1 or more OH, OR1, COOR, OCOR, F, Cl, Br, NO2, CN, NHCOR1 or NR1COR1 substits. and the aryl gps. may also be substd. by R1 (R1 = 1-6 C alkyl); n = 1-10+m; Z1 = C, S, S(O) or P; and Z2 = O or S.
