PURPOSE: To eliminate necessity to use a conductor in a housing shell by bringing an end part of one conductor into contact with an end part of the other conductor in response to an opening operation of a lid of the shell to close an electrical circuit for lighting. CONSTITUTION: In this luminaire, before a lighting part 14 is inserted into a shell 12 for operation, a conductor 40 is located outward, its projecting part 92 is disposed in an opening 94, its tip part 98 abuts on an outside wall 106, and its projecting part 96 is located outside an inner surface 104 of a wall structure part 102. Thereby, the wall structure part 102 restricts outward movement of a conductor 46 to prevent contact of the conductor 46 with the conductor 40, so that the lighting part 14 cannot be turned on when the lighting part 14 is removed from the shell 12. When the lighting part 14 is inserted into a base 16 of the shell 12 and a lid is opened for use, the base 16 of the shell 12 presses the projecting part 92 of the conductor 40 inward through the opening 94. As a result, because the tip part 98 abuts on or engages with the wall structure part 102, the projecting part 96 is disposed inside the wall structure part 102 to contact with the conductor 46 so that a circuit is closed to turn on the flashlight. |
