PURPOSE:To conduct efficient anti-aliasing by setting a reference green color threshold level and deciding red and blue threshold levels through weighting depending on a color difference discrimination capability of human eyes based on the green threshold level. CONSTITUTION:A green threshold level Tg is set (S3-1). Then red and blue threshold levels Tr, Tb are set (S-2). Only one of two colors at a sampling point is obtained by calculating the luminance actually, but the other is obtained by the result already calculated (S3-3). Whether or not oversampling is conducted is discriminated and oversampling is made, and the processing above is repeated till the image forming is finished (S3-4-S3-6). The red and blue threshold levels are decided through weighting depending on a color difference discrimination capability of human eyes based on the green threshold level. |
