PURPOSE:To efficiently transfer heat by convection by arranging in a combustion-reaction region walled off by water tubes a multiplicity of water tubes in a group in a setup equipped with a premix burner as a means of heating the group of water tubes and to pass the combustion gas to cross to the water tubes. CONSTITUTION:A water-tube wall 1 having a plurality of vertical water tubes 1a is placed opposite to another water-tube wall 1 with a required space between the two and substantially in parallel with each other. A premix burner 5 is provided at one end in the longitudinal direction with respect to the pair of water-tube walls 1, 1 and a passage for gas 9 is formed by the pair of water- tube walls 1, 1 and headers. Inside this passage for gas 9 a multiplicity of vertical water tubes 2a..., 3a..., 4a... are erected. Among these vertical water tubes 2a..., 3a..., 4a... those positioned adjacently to the water-tube walls 1, 1 are staggered with the adjacent vertical water tubes 1a, 1a of the water-tube walls 1, 1 on their respective sides. The passage for gas 9 can be formed straight and relatively long in an assembly of water tubes 20 built in accordance with the above constitution. |
