<p>PURPOSE:To make a silencer usable commonly for pianos varying in section divisions of the hammer rows of action and pitches of the individual rows by providing the silencer with buffer members and stoppers. CONSTITUTION:The silencer 50 is composed of the stoppers 51 freely vertically movably disposed in the narrow spaces between strings 1 and hammer shanks 19, more strictly between the hammer shanks 19 and damper mechanisms, the buffer members 52 disposed in correspondence to the stoppers 51 in the intermediate parts in the longitudinal direction of the respective hammer shanks 19, switching means 53 which switch an ordinary performance state and a non- lighted string performance state by selectively moving the stoppers 51 to an ordinary performance position where the members 52 do not come into contact therewith and a non-lighted string performance position where the members come into contact therewith, etc. The members 52 are mounted at the respective hammer shanks 19 and, therefore, the work required at the time of assembly is merely to adjust the positions of the stoppers 51 with respect to the members 52 and to mount the stoppers. The silencer is thus usable commonly for the pianos varying in the section divisions of the hammer 18 rows of the action and the pitches of the individual rows.</p> |
