PURPOSE: To prevent a catheter from being disassembled and to improve safety by providing a lumen-containing flexible jacket with a rotatable tip part to make a tip part driving cable pass through the lumen, and by covering and supporting the tip part with an integrated bush/shroud. CONSTITUTION: The catheter 10 is formed by a jacket 11 which defines a lumen 13 connecting a proximal end and a distal end 12. A driving cable 20 passes through the lumen 13 and a tip 30 is rotated rapidly by engaging a driving pin 21 with the tip 30 through a key-through hole 31. The tip 30 is affixed to the inside of a bush/shroud 40 at the distal end 12 of the jacket 11. Furthermore, the bush/shroud 40 is formed by a bush part 41 supporting the tip 30 and by a shroud part 42 surrounding the tip 30. A blood clot, for example, is sucked into the tip 30 by an eddy formed when the tip 30 rotates rapidly, crushed swiftly to pieces, and is discharged from an opening of the shroud part 42. |
