PURPOSE:To efficiently provide the latest information without exchanging a recording medium such as a CD-ROM even when data are updated. CONSTITUTION:This system is composed of a center as the information providing person side and a terminal as a user side terminal for receiving the provision of information from the center and on the terminal side, a reader 20 of a CD- ROM 20a is arranged. On the terminal side, any new information excepting for the information recorded in this CD-ROM 20a or the information to be updated among the information recorded in the CD-ROM 20a is requested to the center, and the updated information or the like is transmitted from the center, where the request is received, through a communication line to the terminal side. Therefore, a user can be efficiently provided with the latest information without exchanging the CD-ROM 20a even when the data are updated. |
