PURPOSE:To provide a flame retardant insulated electric wire which does not emit any corroding halogen gas in the event of firing, is equipped with a high anti-abrasiveness and flame retardancy, and presents an excellent flexibility and easiness in the terminating processing work. CONSTITUTION:30-150 parts by wt. metal hydroxide having undergone a surface treatment with a silane coupling agent is mixed with 100 parts by wt. blend polymers consisting of a carboxylic acid denatured polymer and polyolefin having a melting point of 110 deg.C or more and a bending stiffness of 10MPa or less, and with the obtained compound a conductor is covered. |
