PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the unevenness of glossiness by suppressing a temperature ripple at the time of fixing on the second surface small. CONSTITUTION:First, the target temperature of a heater is determined (step 3b) from the result of the detection of a heater temperature by a thermistor at the time of starting a device (step 3a) or the result of the detection (step 3h) of a temperature variation DELTAT/dt at the time of turning off the heater after fixing (step 3b). Second, it is judged that a fixing surface is the first or second one (step 3c) and when the second surface is obtained, a heater temperature monitoring periodical moment of 80msec shorter than that of the first surface is determined (step 3d). Third, power control is started with a period several seconds before a recording material is carried to a heater part (step 3e), to attain fixing (step 3f) and just after the recording material passes through the heater part, the energization of the heater is tuned off to detect the temperature variation of the heater for that time DELTAT/dt (steps 3g and 3h) and determine the next target temp. |
