<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the multi-function IC card inexpensively without possibility of a damage due to mis-insertion by devising the cross reference between a connector pin of a host device and a connector pin of an IC card to be unchanged when the connector pin is connected to the connector pin of the host device independently of the insertion side of the IC card. CONSTITUTION:A connector 2 provided to one end of an IC card 1 is devised in such a way that plural different functions are provided to the IC card while the connector 2 is connected to the connector of the host device depending on the insertion side (front side and rear side) of the IC card to the slot of the host device. For example, when the IC card is inserted to the host device while the front side of the IC card 1 is directed upward, the IC card 1 is used as a memory card and when the IC card is inserted to the host device while the rear side of the IC card 1 is directed upward, the IC card 1 is used as a game card. Thus, the connector copes with two kinds of applications and then the cost is reduced while a multi-function is provided to the IC card.</p> |
