摘要 PURPOSE:To estimate highly accurate output engine torque after due consideration of a mechanical difference and a secular change in a power train by installing an initial value memory means which stores a relationship between car acceleration and output torque of the power train as the initial value. CONSTITUTION:In a control unit 3 of an automobile 32 with an engine 1 and an automatic transmission 2, when torque estimation takes place, it is provided with initial value memory means 40 which is stored with the initial value serving as a reference to judge any slippage between actual output engine torque and estimated output engine torque being affected by a mechanical difference and a secular change, pertaining to a torque compensation in order to ensure an accurate drop in the estimated torque. In addition, it is provided with a main estimated torque calculating means 42 which performs the torque estimation and calculates the estimated output engine torque, and the secured estimated torque and the set initial value are compared by torque comparing means 43, judging the mechanical difference and the secular change, then the estimated torque is compensated by estimated torque compensation means 44, thereby making the estimated torque, driving force and speed shift or the like after compensation be useful for control.
