PURPOSE:To obtain shape memory paper returning to the original shape even after bent and crumpled without leaving a fold line or wrinkles by using a shape memory resin, especially, a polyurethane resin to form the same into a sheet shape. CONSTITUTION:Shape memory paper is obtained from a compsn. consisting of vegetable cellulose or a synthetic polymeric substance and a shape memory resin. The shape memory resin is subjected to linear fibrilation or flash spinning in a polymerization tank to produce a fiber which is, in turn, beaten to obtain a raw materialy. The shape memory resin is heated to its Tg (glass transition point) or higher to be flattened or heated to its Tg or higher when ink printed on paper is dried to be flattened. By this method, a flat shape is stored within a use temp. range of Tg of lower and, when this paper is bent or crumpled, only by heating the paper to its Tg or higher, flatness can be restored. |
