摘要 The sensor device e.g. based on an electronic neural network, has a gas sensor element (52) with an electrical resistance which increases in dependence on the level of oxidising gases and drops in dependence on the level of reducing gases. The sensor is coupled to an evaluation device (51), providing an output for the ventilation control, to allow the ventilation system to be operated with air recirculation, or fresh air, dependent on the pollution level of the air outside the vehicle.The rise in the gas sensor signal when the reducing gas concn. increases is quantitatively equal to the fall in the gas sensor signal when the oxidising gas conc. increases, the evaluation circuit determining the sensor signal gradient to generate a switching signal for the ventilation control when a threshold gradient is exceeded.
