PURPOSE: To obtain a sustained-release drug which comprises collagen, a specific crosslinking agent, a flexible chain polymer and a drug accompanied by an injectable carrier, capable of delivering to a patient for a long time in a constant sustained rate. CONSTITUTION: This preparation comprises (A) collagen (preferably, a non- immunoreactive non-fibrous atheropeptide-collagen in solution), (B) a crosslinking agent (preferably, polyethyleneglycol) capable of forming covalent bond with component (A) in situ following injection, (C) a flexible chain polymer (preferably, glycosaminoglycan of hyaluronic acid, etc.), and (D) a drug in the injectable carrier. A drug having pore size along the longest axis of 4-5 nm is preferred as ingredient (D), but when the size of these drugs are smaller, the size are preferably, enlarged by entrapping in ribosome, or carrying on carriers such as human albumin, glycosaminoglycan, etc. |
