THERMALLY COLOR-CHANGEABLE LIGHT BLOCKING-LIGHT PERVIOUS MICROCAPSULE PIGMENT

PURPOSE:To provide the title pigment showing hysteresis characteristics by a temp. change to discolor, having the interchangeability of a white opaque state and a colorless transparent state, applied variously in the combination with a conventional thermally color-changeable material and variously changed in hysteresis width. CONSTITUTION:A curve obtained by plotting a change of transparency due to a temp. change changes accompanied by hysteresis width [DELTAH(TF-TE)]. The interchangeability between a white opaque state and a colorless transparent state is shown and the white opaque state changes when reaches temp. TCU in a temp. rising process in the white opaque state and perfectly becomes the colorless transparent state within a temp. region of TD or higher. In a temp. falling process in this colorless transparent state begins to change when reaches temp. TS lower than temp. TC and perfectly becomes the white opaque state within a temp. region of TA or lower. A hysteresis characteristic enabling the coexistence of the white opaque state and the colorless transparent state within the temp. region between temp. TB and temp. TC is imparted.
