PURPOSE:To provide a management device for bicycle parking lot which can discriminate the bicycles from their owners in order to prevent such illicit acts using the bicycles of other owners, etc., and also to prevent the adverse effect of mischief and the impairment of natural environments. CONSTITUTION:At the entrance/exist of a bicycle parking lot 2, the identification codes which are issued to the bicycles and their owners when the use of the parking lot is registered are read with no contact out of both bicycle and owner display means by the sensors 10 and 11 in an entering state and by the sensors 12 and 13 in a leaving state respectively. Then these identiciation codes are collated in pairs with the stored codes when the codes are registered and issued. When the pair relation of these codes is confirmed between a bicycle and its owner, an entrance/exit gate 3 is opened by a j[ate open/close control part 5 and the entrance is permitted to the lot 2 for the corresponding bicycle and its owner. Then the gate 3 is closed when the passing of both bicycle and its owner are detected at a prescribed position. Thus each pair of a bicycle and its owner us identified at the gate 3 in order to prevent such illicit acts where a user takes a wrong bicle out of the lot 2 or intentionally takes out a bicycle of another owner, etc. |
