A therapeutic agent for hemorrhoidal diseases, comprising, as an active ingredient, a diester phosphate compound of the formula (I) <IMAGE> (I) wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different and each is a hydrogen atom or a methyl, or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, and a method for treating hemorrhoidal diseases, comprising administering a pharmaceutically effective amount of said diester phosphate compound or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.
