PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive dust core having little core loss, and to provide a dust core having little core loss and high mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION:A dust core is produced by pressuring ferromagnetic metal powder and an insulator into dust and then burning. The ferromagnetic metal powder is composed of substantially spherical ferromagnetic metal particles including Fe, At and Si. The permeability at 100kHz can be not lower than 50. The coreloss with a magnetic field of 100mT applied at 100 kHz can be not more than 450kW/m<3>. The core loss with a magnetic field of 200mT applied at 25kHz can be not more than 300kW/m<3>. |
