<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the volume of waste and to recycle the waste by forming a lightweight aggregate consisting of scrap glass and plastic. CONSTITUTION:Scrap is transiently stored in a hopper 1, delivered, crushed with a primary crusher 2 set below, sent to a secondary crusher 3, crushed to 3-15mm and stored in a bin 4. Scrap plastic is transiently stored in a hopper 5, delivered, coarsely crushed with a primary crusher 6, then sent to a secondary crusher 7, finely crushed and stored in a bin 8. The scrap glass is opportunely sent to a drum 9 and heated with the hot air from a burner 10. At this time, some water is added to aggregate and granulate the glass pieces. The scrap glass kept at 200-600 deg.C is charged into a mixer 11 from the drier 9, the scrap plastic is simultaneously charged from the bin 8 and mixed, hence the scrap plastic is melted and interposed between the glass pieces to adhere the pieces to one another. The product is discharged and cooled.</p> |
