PURPOSE:To prepare a compsn. for a sintered compact by adding an aq. soln. of sodium phosphate to slag powder of fused urban garbage for the ageing reaction to seal aluminum ion, and to obtain a sintered compound by kneading the compsn. with plastic clay and a sintering controlling agent, molding, and firing. CONSTITUTION:To 100 pts.wt. of the slag powder of fused urban garbage containing metal aluminum and pulverized to <=0.5mm grains, 1-20 pts.wt. of 2-20% concn. aq. Soln. of sodium phosphate is added to obtain a wet uniform mixture. The mixture is aged for one hour or longer to prepare the compsn. for a sintering compact. Then 5-70 pts.wt. of the wet controlled material calculated as a dry weight and 30-50 pts.wt. of plastic clay and 45-65 pts.wt. of sintering controlling agent, in total 100 pts.wt., and a proper amt. of water are kneaded and extruded by a vacuum kneader, dried, and fired at 950-1250 deg.C to obtain the sintered. Since the material foams in the sintering process, a porous sintered body is obtd. which can be easily cut. Further, this method is effective for recycling of waste materials which is one of social problems. |
