<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a meandering amount in running by providing a first drum of which tape running surface is inclined to a tape surface and a second drum of which tape running surface is inclined in the direction different from the above tape running surface. CONSTITUTION:The tape running surface 1a being an outer peripheral surface of an upper drum 1 is inclined by +alpha deg. to the arrow X direction showing the vertical direction. On the contrary, the tape running surface 2a being the outer peripheral surface of a lower drum 2 is inclined by -beta deg. to the arrow X direction showing the vertical direction. Then, the inclination angle of the tape running surface 1a of the upper drum 1 is made in the direction different from the inclination angle of the tape running surface 2a of a lower drum 2. In such a case, a magnetic tape T is applied with force directing it to the center between the upper drum 1 and the lower drum 2 in the width direction when the magnetic tape T travels, and the movement (movement in the width direction of tape) of the magnetic tape T in the upper direction (the arrow X1 direction) and in the lower direction (the arrow X2 direction) are reduced, and the tape running is stabilized.</p> |
