PURPOSE:To obtain a hair-setting agent composition exhibiting an excellent spraying performance in spite of the low content of volatile components by using a lower alcohol, water, a coating film-forming polymer and a specific silicone wax in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:This hair-setting agent composition comprises a lower alcohol selected from ethanol, n-propanol and isopropyl alcohol (approximately 5-50wt.%), water (approximately 15-70wt.%), a coating film-forming polymer (approxinttately 1-15wt.%), and a water-dispersible silicone wax of the formula ((m), (n) are 10-20) (approximately 0.1-3wt.%). This coating film-forming polymer is an anionic polymer, amphoteric polymer or anionic polymer such as a crotonic acid copolymer. The composition may further be mixed with a propellant and used as an aerosol spray, or may be used as a pump spray. The composition exhibits an excellent spraying performance without forming small drops, and enables to uniformly spray the coating film-forming agent on hair in a short drying time.
