<p>PURPOSE:To suit a single reel cartridge to a helical scan system. CONSTITUTION:The single reel cartridge 46 is thrown in, and recording/ reproducing is performed by the helical scan system using a rotary head 4. A control pulse is reproduced from a recording signal on a control track of a magnetic tape 48 by a fixed head 40, and reposition operation and high speed searching are controlled based on the control pulse. A torque ripple of a capstan motor is measured beforehand, and a motor drive current is corrected so as to reduce torque change in one revolution based on the measured result at the time of tape running, and wow/flutter are improved. Further, the switch timing of a motor coil by a Hall sensor is quickened, and torque fluctuation is suppressed. Further, a regenerative brake circuit is formed by off timing of PWM control, and tape back tension is formed by torque lowering. Further, tape threading and tape lapping when the cartridge is thrown in are performed simultaneously and in parallel.</p> |
