Public transport system with independent coach and motor chassis

The system includes a public transport track which consists of a base (A) which carries a single guiding rail (1). One chassis (E) bears the coach and is supported by magnetic repulsion discs (18) and auxiliary skids (16). The coach chassis (E) is guided by rollers (7) which engage tracks (P) in the central rail (1). The electric linear motor chassis (C) is supported and guided by pneumatic tyres (3) which also run in the tracks (P) of the central rail (1). The motor chassis drives the coach chassis through a flexible connection (D) such that the motor maintains an optimum trajectory even when the coach moves sideways on bends.
