PURPOSE:To provide a stamp detector surely detecting a stamp having no color frame and a stamp having no light emitting afterglow characteristic, etc. CONSTITUTION:This device has a charge amount face of seal recognition part 10 detecting the feature of the charge amount face of a seal based on the image data of postal matter which is decomposed into plural wavelengths and for which a photoelectric conversion is performed, a perforation recognition part 11 detecting the perforation of the stamp based on the image data of at least a wavelength area, a phosphorescence/fluorescence recognition part 12 detecting the light emitting afterglow that the stamp/the charge amount face of the seal have and a final decision part 13 recognizing the classifications and locations, etc., of the stamp/the charge amount face of the seal on postal matter based the detection results in the charge amount face of seal recognition part 10, the perforation recognition part 11 and the phosphorescence/fluorescene recognition part 12. |
