PURPOSE:To provide a waterproof cable which absorbs saltwater, muddy water, etc., irrespective of the concentration of ions by charging crosslinked polyalkylene oxide resin in the gap made by a plurality of cores. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of cores 1, on each of which a polyalkylene oxide sheet 2 being crosslinked by irradiation with ionizing radiation or ultraviolet rays, or other similar method is wound, are twined coaxially, and then those are fixed with a pressed winding tape. Or, the cores 1 are covered with polyalkyl oxide resin 2 and are protruded and united, and then are irradiated with ionizing radiation or ultraviolet rays, and are twined coaxially, and then are fixed with a winding tape. A plurality of obtained cores 1 are intertwined, and then waterproof mixture 3 is charged or applied from outside the cable core. Hereby, a waterproof cable excellent in work efficiency and mass production can be obtained without deteriorating work environment. |
